‘Self-discipline’ is a skill which can be applied in the field of academics, professions and society to drive productivity and success. It has a wide contribution to self-management for managing own emotions & thoughts as well as behaviours during uncertainty or any situations effectively. It entitles freedom against bad habits and addictions through self-control. It requires courage and can be induced through self-love and self-respect. It can be developed over a period of time through practice. This chapter describes disciplinary measures for students, self-discipline development process, characteristics of self-disciplined achievers and its importance in life.
