International Journal of Failure Analysis and Design

Aim

“By failing to design properly, you are designing to fail”, Benjamin Franklin would have quoted instead of “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail” in all appropriateness in the context of failure analysis and design. Design concepts are peculiar and require the most particular attentions in almost all fields of science and engineering, not to mention God; the almighty is the best designer. To unearth the novel secrets uphold by nature’s metamorphosis, this journal IJFAAD is an ideal forum for researchers and scientists from such diversified fields as bio and nano science to robotics and avionics. With the advent of new materials, resulting structures or systems sometimes exhibit such complex failure modes, which are very difficult to realize and postulate a proper design philosophy. In retrospect, design Innovation plays a fundamental and irreplaceable role in encouraging economic development and national competitiveness. This journal will be unique in its endeavor to expand its access and exchange novel ideas and concepts pertaining to an interscience and engineering audience, which is imperative to the sustainability and inclusive growth of the society.

Topic Coverage

As a result of recent technological and scientific advancements at the cross-roads of failure analysis, engineering science and design, computational mechanics, materials science, life science, mathematics, physics, nano science and technology, IJFAAD fosters the exchange of ideas among the researchers in different parts of the world by providing an international medium of communication. The research publications adhere to the following broad fields of engineering, science and technology encompassing various failure modes and their analysis and design.
  • Non-Destructive Techniques and Failure Analysis
  • Mechanics of Failure and Fracture: Civil, Mechanical, Electromechanical
  • Computational Mechanics
  • Impact Dynamics and Crashworthiness
  • Bio-Materials and Bio-Mechanics
  • Corrosion Science
  • Chemical Engineering and Polymeric Science
  • Robotics
  • Nano-Science and Technology
